Mall of the South hosted their second annual Kids & Teens of the south fashion event on Saturday, the 29th of September 2018 to showcase a variety of fashion flair.
The Kids & Teens of the south fashion event by emcee Gert “G” Boshoff and the audience was entertained by the electrifying sound of Phoenix with Andy Klee on vocals, Femi Koya on the saxophone and Ashley Lineker on the electronic violin.
The celebrity judges who adjudicated the event included: Former Miss India South Africa and first runner-up in Miss India World, Denise Dass Bhikha, model Manlie Wagner, head booker and G3 models scout Shadi Letoaba, Evercomm Heads of sales and marketing Samantha Naidoo and multiple pageant judge Professor Deon van Wyk.
Entries were open to girls in the following categories: three-to-five; six-to-eight; nine-to-twelve and 13 to 17. Over 1000 entries were received and ten finalists were selected in each category.
We are pleased to announce the 2018 Kids & Teens of the south winners: Olwethu Mhlongo (three-to-five category), Lereese Wright (six-to-eight category), Mogau Ramalia (nine-to-twelve category) and Ashleigh Teen (13-to-17 category).
The Kids & Teens of the south fashion event received over R165 000 worth of sponsorships, including a weekend away to Sun City for the top four winners valued over R20, 000; and a fun-filled beach getaway to Thailand for a family of four valued at R40, 000, compliments of Flight Centre and Mall of the South. Delmaine Greaver Flight Centre Mall of the South Branch Manager randomly selected a name from the top four winners and soon-to-be jetsetter Lereese was selected randomly and won a family holiday to Thailand.

Cupcakes of Hope also joined Mall of the South on the 29th of September 2018 and added sweetness to the day by tempting shoppers and tenants to support their cause by purchasing their scrumptious cupcakes for only R10, 00 each. All proceeds went to the Cupcakes for kids with cancer initiative.
