This week’s social media highlights included a hilarious video challenge between the DHL Stormers and Orlando Pirates. It’s not often we get to see our local heroes having fun behind the scenes and these clips prove just how talented they are at their game.

These video challenges encouraging fellow sports personalities and teams showcase their athletic capabilities creatively, is part of a charity campaign driven by South African sports professionals and adidas South Africa. The global shoe and clothing brand has pledged to donate over R4, 000 000 in the next few months by donating one pair of shoes for each video uploaded by the public or any sportsperson throughout the campaign.
adidas has also opened up an ambassador program competition offering students the chance to become an “adidas creator”. The lucky winner would receive R20 000 worth of adidas kit and R30 000 towards their tuition or sports development. To enter the competition to become an adidas Creator for a year all you need to do is:
1. Make a creative training video (on your phone is fine!)
2. Challenge a friend, work colleague or fellow sportsman.
3. Use the hashtag #HereToCreate.
4. Share with your followers on as many social media platforms as you can.
5. Make sure your post is on public view
6. Tag @adidasZA and mention that for each video created, adidas will be donate a pair of shoes to a charity.
We’re challenging YOU to upload a video showing how you get creative in sport! For every video uploaded adidas will donate a pair of shoes to charity and they’ve got 3,000 pairs to give away!
