JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 28 August 2018:
From a brand new car, to teeing off on the golf course to outdoor gadget fun… these were just a few things that Mall of the South gave shoppers an opportunity to explore in the “It’s all about cars and gadgets” competition.
From the 11th of June to the 13th of August 2018, Mall of the South ran a shop-to-win competition whereby shoppers were encouraged to spend R250 or more at any Mall of the South store and stood a chance to win their share of R300 000, including: an all-new Haval H2 City M/T valued at R249 900 sponsored by Haval The Glen as first prize; a one-year Eye of Africa Golf membership valued at R20 000 as second prize and an Exquisite Drone LS-126W valued at R3500 from Gadgets.
On the 15th of August 2018, ten valid entries were selected randomly, which made up the top ten finalists, who had to be present at the live draw which took place on Thursday, the 23rd August 2018 in Platinum Court at Mall of the South. The finalists were: Adam Boshoff, Leslene Thomas, Lindiwe Mwandla, Lindsay Doubtfire, Lucretia Welsh, Mark van der Byl (who was represented by Sean Harri Konig), Olivia Meyer, Sean Nadig and Sidney M Plaatjies (the tenth finalist wished to remain anonymous).
Each finalist selected a key from a jar and whichever key unlocked the car door would win the car. Mall of the South is pleased to announce the lucky shopper Adam Boshoff’s key unlocked the door. Adam was so overwhelmed and in complete shock that he had a won a brand new car. He was accompanied by his wife at the draw and they were both over the moon that they have won a new set of wheels.
Mall of the South, however, did not stop there. The Eye of Africa Golf Membership and the drone from Gadgets prizes were up next; the winners were randomly selected from the remaining finalists. Congratulations to Olivia Meyer who won the one-year Eye of Africa Golf membership and Lindiwe Mwandla won the Exquisite Drone LS-126W from Gadgets.
All finalists didn’t walk away empty-handed. Each finalist received a goody bag valued over R3000 each, which included: a Bad girl or Bad boy pair of sunglasses and a watch, a pocket knife from Cajees, a discounted voucher from Cape Union Mart, a fragrance from Edgars, a Haval cap and notebook, a pair of earphones from Gadgets, a L’Occitane hamper, vouchers from Exclusive Books, Mythos and Stopwash and more.
