It is apparent that every industry needs a disruptor, and UlangarBar has comfortably donned that title within the South African mobile bar space.
Having turned the “side hustle” phenomenon into something greater than just another pastime, the founders have a one goal in mind – to get patrons to drink every one of their creations “to the last drop.”
The open secret on how husband and wife duo, Lesiba and Keitumetse Langa, make the brand’s offerings great conversation-starters or jaw-droppers for some is being attuned to South African youth culture.
“The passion and need for an exciting bar experience is what started this journey, however, we thought if people are having conversations about the latest news and social trends in or at bars, why don’t we help them start the dialogue,” says owner and director Lesiba Langa.
Spotting witty names attributed to current affairs and movements, the menu hosts a range of thirst-quenchers such as; Mavuso, Bluetooth, Vrrrphaa, and Ko Mokokotlong – which all set tongues wagging in more ways than one.
However, the beverage labels are the final touch, which can be compared to adding a good spirit to an even better drink. UlangaBar prides itself in providing a top-of-the-range mobile bar and exceptional customer service. Keitumetse Langa affirms this by saying: “It’s not enough to have great product names without paying attention to the customer otherwise we would not be in a position to do what we do. This is why we make sure that the service provided to our clients is of a high standard and matchless”.
Beyond servicing private and corporate clients, in the last year, UlangaBar has widened its footprint by operating at social and lifestyle markets like Sporo’s Street Cookout and Brownsense Market, and look forward to giving patrons more of their distinctive and creative bar experience.
With a vision to become bigger, better and household name, Lesiba says; “We look forward to collaborating with other great brands and be part of major events on the mzansi entertainment calendar. There can only be good things to come wherever UlangaBar is concerned.”
