Blue Route Mall’s Thrift for Good Market Returns This March:
Blue Route Mall will once again bring sustainable fashion and community impact together when its popular Thrift for Good Market returns from 27-29 March 2026 on the Ground Floor of the centre.
The three-day market invites shoppers to browse a curated selection of pre-loved clothing, footwear and accessories, offering the opportunity to discover unique fashion finds while supporting three impactful local charities: The Salvation Army, U-Turn Charity Shop and Help the Rural Child.
By purchasing second-hand items, visitors help extend the life of quality clothing while contributing to organisations that provide vital support services to vulnerable communities across the Western Cape.
With global fashion waste estimated at more than 92 million tonnes annually, initiatives such as thrift markets encourage more responsible shopping habits by promoting the reuse and repurposing of clothing while supporting charitable causes.
“Thrift for Good Market creates an opportunity for the community to come together in support of sustainability and social impact,” says Bronwyn Rabie, Marketing Manager at Blue Route Mall. “By choosing pre-loved fashion, shoppers are helping reduce waste while supporting charities that make a real difference in people’s lives.”
Visitors can expect rails of carefully curated vintage and second-hand clothing, unique fashion finds and accessories, and the opportunity to shop consciously while supporting organisations working directly within local communities.
The Thrift for Good Market forms part of Blue Route Mall’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, community engagement and meaningful partnerships that uplift local organisations.
