Emirates Introduces Flexible Payment Options, Providing More Choice For South African Travellers:

Customers can choose from new payment methods for greater convenience
Emirates Airline has introduced additional convenient and flexible payment options for South African travellers, offering them a better real-time user experience on the airline’s website and app when planning their travel.
Emirates Airline customers can now purchase their flight tickets using local debit and credit cards, or through mobile banking and have their ticket issued within minutes. This provides even greater convenience for customers by enabling them to switch from cash to online payments, using their Visa and Mastercard cards, as well as mobile banking with the following banking institutions, Standard Bank, Absa, Nedbank, Investec, plus many more.
“Emirates is continuously committed to customer convenience through enhanced payment options when it comes to online bookings. Many customers in South Africa prefer more flexibility and choice when it comes to making online payments to finalise their travel plans, and we have worked very hard to provide them a secure and frictionless experience through more local banking partners, and a host of other options to facilitate payments. No matter the location, bank, or card, our customers will find a payment solution that suits them when booking,” said Emirates Regional Manager for Southern Africa Mr Afzal Parambil.
“We are certain these payment methods will come as a relief to many of our travellers looking for an easier, more convenient way to make booking payments with Emirates in the future.” Concludes Parambil.
Emirates has been gradually and safely rebuilding its route network and advancing its strategy to optimise its presence in key markets to serve leisure and growing business travel demand. Currently, the airline serves 120 global destinations and in South Africa, it will operate 28 weekly flights in the coming months. The ramp up of operations will see double daily flights to Johannesburg from 1 December, including the introduction of Emirates’ iconic A380 on one of the daily flights, in addition to daily services to both Cape Town and Durban.
Emirates remains focused on taking the stress out of travel and has led the industry in protecting the health of its customers to ensure a feeling of safety and confidence when deciding to fly. Emirates customers travel with the assurance that the latest health and safety measures are in place at every step of the journey. The airline has also recently introduced contactless technology to ease customers through Dubai airport.
