South African artist Jimmy Nevis will for the second year running perform at De Waal Park in Upper Orange Street Gardens.

On Sunday 17th March from 2pm Jimmy will share the Bandstand with the legendary Rockets and Flamenco guitarist Saudiq Khan.

Why not do different places remarked Jimmy when asked about De Waal Park. “This is a show I really look forward to as the audience is so close to you and you truly feed of the crowd.

I have my new album out called Chimera released late 2018 and will be playing material from that album as well as my classic hits that audiences have shown so much love for Heartboxing, Balloon, 7764 and All About It.

Jimmy has released three studio albums, namely Subliminal (2012), The Masses (2014) and Chimera (2018)

Jimmy remarked we are playing in a bandstand that goes back many years.

The Concerts will be staged in the original Edwardian bandstand, which was manufactured by Messrs Walter McFarlane & Co of Glasgow and presented to ‘the corporation’ in Cape Town by the Traders-Market & Exhibition Ltd. London in 1904.

It was moved from the original exhibition space in Green Point to De Waal Park some years later.
