Rand Outfitters opens opportunities for township designers:
For the past four months, Rand Outfitters has given township designers an opportunity and exposure to engage with people coming to their stores. The local designers have been showcasing their products, engaging and selling them in-store.
Brands such as Home Grown Shandis have benefitted and grown their clientele. This platform enables the designers to gain their market share while introducing their brands to customers visiting the Rand Outfitters stores.
Rand Outfitters with Township Brands and Homegrown Shandis are addressing the burning issue of access to the market by allowing township brands to participate in Ekasi Pop UP Store activations.
The activations are aimed at giving the local brands the first-hand experience in retail space and to expand to the new market.
Rand Outfitters and Township Brands has coordinated two successful pop-ups in Kathorus’ Chris Hani Mall and Soweto’s Jabulani Mall. Exposing local brands to their consumers whilst bridging the gap to access to markets for these township based brands.
Tembisa’s Birch Acres Mall will be the next stop on the 31st of August 2019, where meticulously selected local clothing brands will be allowed to trade at Rand Outfitters’ Tembisa branch.
Rand Outfitters is calling for entries from local Tembisa clothing labels to take part in this amazing opportunity to showcase their wares at Birch Acres Mall.
